My first contribution to the Mundane Challenge. It's hinges this time around. I'd love to say I captured this at some old dilapidated farm house, but sadly it's the gate on the side of my very own house. In the back of my mind I think I was waiting for some cause - like a 365 opportunity.
Lovely idea for the challenge Ron, lots of great detail and textures, must be an old hinge I see it was made in the good old US of A not the Peoples Republic of China, lol:)
@888rachel Thanks Rachel. I feel vindicated for not having fixed the gate. I'm sure another photo opportunity is waiting there somewhere.
So the lens arrived today. OMG that thing is huge! And heavy! I can't imagine carting around that expensive Sigma at one more kilo! I can't wait to go use it, but with a week's worth of rain, opportunities will be limited.
Denise? Denise? It's RUST! Nice going Ron! Makes a hinge look less mundane! I like the way you played up the USA part...I think things made here are having a come back...or at least they're heralding the issue (as they should!) Wish I was in Lunenburg...LOTS of cool rusty things to pick from!
@stray_shooter I think my long lens is the same weight as yours. With the glare guard on the end, it looks so massive! I get so many people looking. I'm thinking of getting a monopod to balance the weight easier. I'd love to know how you go with yours.
