Bright Elusive Butterfly by stray_shooter

Bright Elusive Butterfly

Across my dreams with nets of wonder,
I chase the bright elusive butterfly of love.

Spent the day with @Weezilou Ken and Louise. The San Diego Butterfly Jungle is only open for a few weeks so we took the opportunity to try to catch the bright elusive butterfly of 365.

(What the heck happened to the Song Title challenge anyway?)
Stunning, a perfect capture.
So pretty.

Oh Ron, this is simply beautiful!!! I need a class in using aperture! 90% of my settings were wrong : ( THIS is what I was hoping for! So happy for you that you got it!!! Must dash back and try again!

@pamknowler Sorry to stick that song in your brain Pam. Please accept my apologies - and please accept my appreciation for the fav.

@pcoulson Thank you for those kind words and sorry to have resurrected that horrible song from the depths of your memory banks. :(

@gilbertwood Arrgh! Just when I thought I had suppressed that stupid song, there you go messing my head up again! Thanks...I suppose.

@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann. Yes, it's always a good time when getting together with the wonderful Ken and Louise.

@taffy Thanks Taffy - and thanks for not mentioning the overcooked processing. ;) I actually ran the shot through a few Topaz adjustments and the chromatic aberration is horrible, but let's just keep that to ourselves, K?

@Weezilou You are not alone Louise. I discovered myself that an aperture of 1.4, though allowing super fast shutter speed, does not lend itself to much in the way of depth. We'll be working on that in next week's photo class. Guess I'll be cranking up that ISO! Looking forward to your captures.

@joannakate Thanks very much Joanna. The flowers are a tad distorted, but I thought what the heck, I'll just go with it. Most seem OK with that.

@dianen Thanks Diane. I do appreciate it. Not quite as stunning as those beautiful daughters of yours though!

@photographycrazy Why thank you very much Bill. Good to hear from you. When are you going to treat us to more of your great shots?
April 5th, 2018
@stray_shooter you are too kind! My daughters do not move as quickly as a butterfly!
