More rain for Southern California, resulting in cancelations in planned photo shoots. So, out into the back yard it is to document the effects offered by the current precipitation. This is one of my rose bushes with the geranium in the background providing a source for reflection in the droplets.
Lovely shot. Interesting contrast between the subtle shadings of the rose stem and the vivid color of the geraniuims. Can't wait to see how nice the roses might be this year when they finally get some rainfall.
Lovely image. If you are like me you cannot complain about rain, it is so precious to those of us who live in drought prone parts of the country! The sweet reflection in that center drop is lovely.
@onewing Oh, boy, do I wish we could send you some rain. We've been in drought for so long too, and this is helping, but they keep saying it's still not enough to relieve things.
@pcoulson Thanks Peter. Funny thing about the DoF. I had the macro lens on and cranked up the f-stop as high as I could to maximize DoF....and it was till razor thin!
@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann. Must agree that it's hard to complain when we need the rain so badly. Fortunately the rain here has resulted in a very good snow accumulation in the mountains. Hopefully the snow melt is gradual enough to keep us fully saturated through the summer. Maybe it'll help you guys out too.
@stray_shooter Townsville in Queensland is flooded at the moment. What we need to do is tip Australia up a bit to allow the water to filter down to the rest of the country.
