either someone must've told him, or he sneaked in to browse through my 365, but partner surprised me with this pearl ring.
i remember in one of my posts last year i mentioned that i haven't got a pearl ring. heaven knows i've given so many hints, but it didn't come on my birthday, nor on Christmas.
now, partner and i, we don't really celebrate valentine; we don't even have an 'anniversary'. years ago we agreed that our anniversary would be the canadian thanksgiving holiday which was a monday sometime in october. then we forgot about it. what matters to us is that we are there for each other. we don't go out for dinner during valentines day because aside from the restaurants being too crowded and noisy, the quality of food is so-so and really expensive.
anyway, so while i was admiring the ring on my finger, i was admonishing him about gifts on valentines day. heck all i got him was a card (beautiful though and i paid premium for it, not dollar-store-bought) and a lottery ticket for tomorrow's $30million jackpot.
but he said i'm so worth it. and i said to him: of course i am so worth it!
This is such a wonderful testimonial to how good a long term relationship can be when there is respect and friendship and the small stuff is seen as small stuff. I love your picture and the way the two pearls are individual but together are the infinity symbol.
So romantic, so beautifully shot; that ring looks lovely. We always celebrate Valentines day as we meet the day before 39 years ago! Wouldn't change him for the world. So happy you got your ring and in such a surprising way:0)
@northy - there used to be a lot of "sweet factory" stores but now the only shop they have is at cumberland and they only take orders of the cookies. thank you.

@pandorasecho - the setting, if without the pearls, is actually the infinity symbol. i love its simplicity. a double thank you, dixie.
