one of my writer friends is going to have her first book, a mystery novel, published. she wanted me to go with her to the don trail to find her 'crime scene' that would be the cover for her book. long tall grasses on either side of a long path, near a river, underneath a massive arched bridge. well, we found the bridge, only we couldn't get to the other side where the real path/trail was. we walked for more than three hours but the one good thing was half the trail we were on was under tall trees the leaves of which overlapped and formed a pleasant shade for us to walk on. it was so surreal to be walking in a 'forest' in the middle of a big city.
a few trees have totally changed colours but mostly their leaves are still green. it would need a good rain and cold for their leaves to turn to autumn colours. but if they don't and the weather continues to be nice like today, we aren't complaining, are we?
thank you for your kind views and comments; know that they are very much appreciated.
@olivetreeann - it just so happened that i've registered for this worldwide photowalk on saturday and it's quite fortuitous that that's where the group i joined in will be going. so i should be able to get the shot she wants for her book cover. thank you, ann.
