i went around the beaches of port dover, whilst being followed by a couple each with their own big cameras, a family of four with two kids and a dog, three brothers that are boisterous and loud and inquisitive, and an elderly couple who just loved watching me with mr. octopussy here. in that order.
our hotel is near the lighthouse point you see in the back there, but mr. octopussy here wanted to be far away from everyone. only the elderly couple followed us all the way through and back.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated. we're off to our thanksgiving dinner but before that, i would have to rush out and take more sunset photos. this time without the darn crystal ball, it just calls too much attention and people love to talk about it i get to miss what i wanted to shoot.
And why is Little Wahoo not with this wonderful friend? Unless of course he has sticky fingers- oh, tentacles! Hahaha- I am imagining myself doing something similar with the critters and getting even more stares than you!
@olivetreeann - missing. i don't know where she and her other fiends are. methinks they eloped to go to the poconos! seriously, i couldn't find them. thank you, ann.
@lesip - yes, you can imagine. just like when you're with bones! :-) thank you, leslie.
@maggiemae - the elderly couple wanted to go over the big rocks. the man said he could and was cajoling his wife but the wife was too afraid because she said her knees were arthritic. the rocks were really high and unevenly shaped. so when i said i wasn't going through they both opted to sit down away from the water and just watched me. they didn't ask me directly but i could hear their conversation trying to guess what i'm up to! thank you, maggiemae.
@bill_fe - no, not cold here today. and mr. octopussy is hardy, he can take any weather and any temperature. he even glows, you know! thank you, bill.
@northy - he wanted to come along. :-) thank you, kiddo.
@grammyn - thank you, katy. yes, after so many near mishaps, i finally got the comp i wanted.
@francoise - i should've offered to take their photos but i was so engrossed with what i was doing and i didn't think about it until much later. thank you, francoise.
@summerfield Friday or Saturday. Basically- I'll be up to Batavia on Friday the 24th and leaving Monday the 27th. Leigh's birthday is Saturday, so I could meet up with you on Sunday- afternoon would be best. It's also possible that I could come up on Thurs. and meet with you on Friday, but I'm assuming it might be difficult for you to get time off. That's the gist of it.
@olivetreeann - yay! i meet my friend again. do you want to cross to my side or do you want me to cross over to your side. haven't seen them falls from the american side, you know. it should be fun! looking forward to it.
@summerfield Either way is fine with me and my family knows I'm making plans- so the American side is fine- I know you want to go to the viewing deck and anything else that suits your fancy. I'm up for it! There is one part where you can stand at the railing near where the water goes over. It's thunderous and amazing. And maybe this time we'll see a rainbow from the bridge. Can't wait to see you again!
No rush re emails,
he fits in my coat pocket along with my fairy lights, gloves and kleenex and whatever else i could jam in there.
