for this, i had to look up my photos from january when bff and i visited the old country. this is the banca/boat/catamaran/outrigger that brought us around the islets of coron in palawan, southwest of manila.
the dictionary defines "outrigger" as a beam, spar, or framework projecting from or over the side of a ship or boat; or a boat fitted with an outrigger.
this baby was moored beside that little hut in the middle of one of the islets which are actually giant rock formations. we were having lunch when i took this photo. and now i'm pining to go back again. i swear next time we go, i'm not going to let any bronchial infection hold me back. i will swim in the ocean again.

I've been loving your word selections! This is quite wonderful, and all-the-more-fun for knowing you would be familiar with this form of travel. The location looks "to die for!" Not a hint of pollution in that pristine water! Like you, I WILL swim in the ocean again...there's nothing like it!
