oriel window by summerfield

oriel window

an oriel window is a form of bay window which projects from the main wall of a building but does not reach to the ground. this type of window usually can be seen projecting from an upper floor window; it can also be seen from the ground floor of a structure, but is not supported from the ground.

this is one of the corner windows of casa loma.
