managed to go near the lake this morning, but everything is white! it was also snowing rather heavy and there was a slightly strong wind and that made it a lot chillier in there. these people walk around with skis and ski poles.
meanwhile i slipped off a good 10 feet when i attempted to go down on thickly snowed-on steps. i was holding my camera on my right hand and my tripod on the left thinking i'd use it as a support going down the hills. good thing i was holding on to the railing and boy! that camera took a lot of beating from the iron railing as i slid down. i didn't know what i was thinking - i couldn't manage those steps during summer as they were quite steep! but i managed to do that standing up and boy, do my hips hurt right now!
and this is all i have to show you!
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Amazing high key minimalist image! they say an artist has to suffer for their art but lets not go too far OK?! Glad you and the camera are OK! I hope you aren't covered in bruises! Take better care of yourself! you aren't getting any younger you know! ♥
@grammyn@lesip - you should've seen me when i attempted to go back up the same way. and a young woman in skis asked if i could help her when she fell down and was going to roll down the hill but managed to grab a branch. i told her, 'i don't think so, buddy! you're on your own! why don't you just roll?' she could well see my right foot kept slipping off and my left leg was practically coiled around the railing trying to go up!
Superb composition! Lovely high key effect. I hope you are not going to be too sore for the next few days. The more I read about snow and how cold and slippery it is , the more I appreciate our warmer climate! Thankful that I do not have to deal with snow. It's bad enough when it is at the top of the mountains surrounding the valley.
This is really, really beautiful Vikki! Such a FAV.....because it is a wonderful high key, and minimalist shot, and for your trials and tribulations!! ;-)))
