the sounds of frogs on a wet, cold night in the tropics are terribly annoying. endless and ceaseless. until this morning, the girls above me have pet frogs and last night i got woken up several times. it's probably not so much the frogs but the people going back and forth, perhaps to silence to freaking things.
i told the landlord about it. tonight he called me to say frogs are gone. i wasn't the only one who complained, the other tenants did, too. the girls were more than willing to oblige to get rid of them as they, too, were kept awake.
some people are just plain dumb.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
I'm working in a classroom with a tank with three frogs in it. Those are loud and I didn't know what they were, I kept asking which kids had an electronic toy making that noise
Cute set -up for your tale of the croaking frogs! I'd rather have frogs than skunks- which is what we had last night. It wasn't the noise that was the problem...
@summerfield I filled a wading pool with rocks and water and then had frogs like crazy here about ten years, outside my sons room, and I loved it but my boys hated it
I guess it's different when the frogs are out in the trees. Your tale is just one of many postings these days that is making me long for summer and its sounds.
I think if you're near a pond with them, you get used to hearing them. But they don't belong in an apartment! I do love the sound of the Spring Peepers outside during the late Spring and Summer- but they're outside, where they belong, where you expect to hear them and it's not so overwhelming! (o: I like your jeweled version- and I'm sure he's a lot quieter.
I love the POV and composition of this shot! Such a beautiful subject!
