continuing on with this week's hang it all challenge, here'sanother shot from my 2011 honday bay tour in palawan, philippines. i was really surprised and kicking myself in the arse for not putting in better efforts at viewing the photographs i've taken during my vacations.
the white strip you see in the horizon is part of a private beach on a private island. the catamaran you see here is actually the island's security to make sure that the tour boats or anyone else do not stray from the 'public' waters lest they get too near the island. it must be fun to be so rich as to have your own island. or probably not.

Quite a beautiful place. I'm not sure how it is in Canada, but in the U.S. nobody can prohibit such beach access. Seems rather intimidating to have a catamaran patrolling the place.

@stray_shooter - this is an island off the western part of the philippines. in there they can put a line on the water and dare you go over their private property. thank you, ron.
I love the low POV, the beautiful color of the water, the trees with the line of mountains providing the perfect backdrop to highlight them, and the clouds drawing attention to the total composition!

I don't know whether it's better or not. Each place has it's strength's and drawbacks. I guess it depends on whether the money controls you or you control it. All that philosophy aside, what a pretty place. The color of the water is stunning- and I like the wave action too.
It is a beautiful looking area. I'm not sure about having security patrolling around me. I guess though if you don't want people to bother you those are the measures you have to resort to.
