the weary mind finds
its soul searching the world:
home is in the heart.
sit by the fountain
and hear the sound of quiet:
the trickling water.
i love japanese gardens, especially the silhouettes of the beautifully trimmed trees against the equally beautifully laid-out ponds. there is just something that calms the soul and eases the mind when walking about these gardens. and if you can't have your own, a large print in your home would be as good.
this is the Elizabeth Hubert Malott Japanese Garden which is a huge part of the Chicago Botanical Gardens. i visited this in 2009 and had been intending to go back ever since i got the photography bug. i will definitely make it a point to go the next time i visit my brother. this was taken with my very first point and shoot camera.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
You have definitely captured the quintessential tranquillity that one expects with a Japanese garden. I am not really a fan of added frames, but this frame enhances the overall effect. Well done you!
@amrita21 - ribbet.com it's like picmonkey or gimp, gotta pay for premium features though. this is callex mirror frame, forgot if it's premium. thanks.
if you don't mind what software did you use to achieve this?
