and now for something completely different

look what i found today on our walk about at the gardens! snow drops, would you believe it! there was even a magnolia tree that has started to bud already. the wind's not really been so good at its job this year that most of the fallen leaves had not even been composted or blown away. the world's gone upsy-turvy with all the changes in the weather.

the weather is just plain insanity!

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly and greatly appreciated.

p.s. - happy to be in the final five for the weekly theme "jolly". lookie here you need to scroll down past amanda's photo.
What a gorgeous composition and low POV! Great light and color too!

Great composition, Miss Vikki. We are expecting snow and ice tomorrow, here at home. You may not want to come back.

Wow, that looks confusing....snow drops and dry leaves on the ground....that must surely be the end of the world as we know it!! I wish you snow, if you so desire....I do not expect that we will see any again this year, but that is fine with me!! ;-)) BTW, love your photo in the Jolly theme....hope you win!! You just personify Jolly!!

Well, if you can't have snow, at least you have snowdrops.

It is so nice to see their dainty heads. Very cold and white here. We are get-pushed partners for this week, and try as I might, I have only one thing on my mind ... reflections. Not necessarily of the physical type, though, as I saw you did a week of window reflections in November. It seems I am drawn more toward the introspective type of reflection with the coming of the new year. With that in mind, how about a reflection image in that tone. If that doesn't work, though, let me know and I'll set another.

Of course, very logical! If the stores lay out their February 14th merchandise right after Christmas, why wouldn't nature follow? Nice details in this photo.

Lovely capture of the snowdrops peeking out. I guess they didn't set their alarm clock properly this year...

Amazing, is it springtime where you are visiting?

They are so pretty! Wish I could grow them here- but I think the deer would eat them.
