one of my favourite songs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEMCeymW1Ow this calls to mind the image of my mother on a cool december afternoon, singing this song as she was darning some of our clothes. she was sitting by the door, making use of the afternoon sunlight and i was telling her that she looked like a saint because from where i sat i could see a halo over her head. i must've been four or six at the time.
and believe it or not, this tree only had this one branch of red leaves and the way the sunlight was hitting it made the leaves shimmer.
