for my get-pushed challenge this week, miss F @francoise asked me to "Photograph the same object form more or less the same POV using different lightings (however many you feel will give a different feel to the result) and put the results into a collage."
so here's another rose (i found a retail flower shop that sells fresh flowers at wholesale prices). they're all the same pov, i just flipped the two on the right to make the background look as one. why? because i want to. :-)
top left, just the room light, directly overhead.
bottom left, soft box lighting 2 feet away to the left.
I like the bottom right best. At a quick glance they looked similar but looking closer you pick up all the differences. Great response to the challenge.
As I first looked at this I thought it was all the same. After I read your description I realize how clever you are and I can see the differences quite well I specially like the way you put Them together. I think it is a wonderful answer to Françoise's challenge
I am liking the softbox one best too, I think because of the extra texture on the petal (is that because it's more from the side???) Now I'm gonna look up what is a softbox. I find the different ones really quite different.
