we've really had quite a lot of snow but hopefully it would not cause any flooding in the spring like it did last year. this one was outside the horticultural building at allen gardens from last sunday. with the fluctuating temperatures, the ice brittled and became crunchy on the pavement, but as it melted and the temps went down again, it left some plants frozen like this one needle of this evergreen hedge. too bad this is in black and white or you'd recognize me reflected in that frozen drop. well, not really me but my multicoloured scarf. but how's this for textures, eh?
flash of red comes tomorrow!
apologize for my lack of commenting; the blisters on the fingers are just starting to heal but i still have to bandage my fingers as i don't want them to get infected and i hate it if they become so as i can't stand physical pain.
@maggiemae - my photo on the 2nd feb the burning matchstick fell on the black cover i was using while putting the glass cover of the lamp. i tried to smother the little fire with my fingers. took me a while to kill it and didn't realize i was burning my fingers. :-(
