i'm still on the fence whether i would do another month of words or some other challenge, or not. if at the last minute i would go for structure i would definitely get on board again for the words. but i really wouldn't know what would spike my interest over the course of the next 18 hours. maybe i'll do a month of self portraits. bleh, maybe not.
of protests and curfews. i hope the problem in the states gets resolved peacefully. there is an overflow here of that problem, which hopefully won't escalate to the extent that curfew is imposed. then really, you're going to get pissed what with our freedom already curbed by the rules of the pandemic. sometimes, we overuse our freedom and abuse our rights. we should not forget that living in a free country is a privilege and we should treasure it and not take it for granted.
This is a great picture! Beautiful image detail and great format! Very nice these textures, the expressive white bow and the black line from the hat band.

The excesses, the escalation of violence... the pictures in the media are terrible and upsetting. In general: Human rights must apply to everyone. It must be possible for everyone to live in dignity. At all: live... I'm worried.
I can certainly understand why people are upset, but I can't understand how rioting and wilfully damaging other people's property and livelihoods is going to lead to any sort of improvement :(
I'm not sure what I want to do this month either- I'm leaning toward my own version of 30 days wild since I can't really do that much wildlife photography this year. There is no sense to the violent response this tragedy has ignited. How killing a person's livelihood and property equals a life that was taken in such a traumatic way makes no sense. But the media is just as murderous. Instead of promoting stories that bring people together during a time when we really need to work together they use words that incite and stir up more strife. People riot and loot for justice but do not realize not only is one man dead but the one who took his life virtually committed suicide by his actions. He will never work again, will most likely live out the rest of his life in jail and has also destroyed the lives of his family and associates. Destroying more lives will not endear anyone to a cause nor will it win approval. So in the end no one wins and justice is never served.
Life is never as black and white as we'd like it to be- but photography on the other hand can certainly make it out to be! Great shot.
