it has been a really busy day and one filled with anxiety for most of us. we learned there were some employees that were laid off. then we were called to a meeting, but that was to assuage our fears about the lay offs. however, because it was the end of june and last day of corporate taxation, clients wanted to finish off their transactions which means a lot of money had to change hands so different forms needed to be prepared. then it being month end also meant billings had to be finalized and processed. it was one after the other highlighted by the system slow-down which meant speaking with the IT guys, blah, blah, blah.
not complaining though as pressure is my lifeblood. but, boy! did it take a lot out of this old brain!
