it has started. well, actually, the holiday season has started as soon as september hit. and this time the businesses has a new ploy. 'supplies are getting scarce, buy now!' and who says people have no money? the presence of shoppers in malls, big or not so big, belies that. thankfully, for me, i don't have to give anyone a gift that i would have to purchase.
as for the decorations, they're good for photographing, and why not? they're there, so...
Crikey, very Christmassy. We have the same "things are going to be scarce" ploy in NZ too. My response is, if we can't get it at Christmas then we have something else or nothing - it won't be the end of the world.
@monikozi was the first person I thought of when I saw this beautiful decoration! She had already expressed to me how she wasn’t ready for it to start yet! I can’t say as I totally disagree with her but I do enjoy looking at the decorations! I also like the feelings the Christmas season generates too. There is an underlying sense of happiness or joy that is absent the rest of the year!
These decorations are very elegant and make for a fabulous photo for your album today!
That ploy is being used here too. The other one is there will be covid related shipping delays so some things will be delayed or may not be available, BUY NOW!!!!
I still do stockings for my adult children and the grandies, so I really need to get myself organised.
Happening here too. The retailers used to wait until Thanksgiving, then Halloween, and now even sooner than that. I love the holidays, but it does get tiring when it starts so early.
I refuse to give in and panic buy. If anything, last year reinforced all the more that if you can get to be with the people you love, that is enough. You can't bamboozle me into an early Christmas. I don't usually warm to the idea until a few days beforehand.

We have our `` Sinterklaas`` event before (5 Dec.). It`s for the old tradition to have the tree after this.
