another one from last sunday's st. paddy day parade. this must've been borrowed from the islands as that is where i would see them normally. i'd like to own one someday!
funny thing that happened this morning. my team at the office would normally have a video conference call on tuesday and thursday mornings. this morning was getting boring and after 45 minutes we were bidding our goodbyes when suddenly out of my peripheral vision i saw 'hair' falling down surely from one of the upper balconies. i said 'i think i just saw a toupee floating down!' and the girls started to laugh. i decided to go out into my balcony to see where the toupee landed. to my extreme amusement, the toupee landed on the very outside edge of MY balcony. so i was scrambling to get back in to get the camera, all the while laughing. i tripped, i bumped the chair, i almost slipped from laughing at the same time locating my camera. the girls were urging me on. i took a photo and showed it to them and they just about died laughing because they thought i was just bamming them. one imagined a fishing line going down from above to fish the toupee back. another girl imagined one of my pigeon enemies sitting down on it to lay eggs. and it went on and on for another 20 or so minutes all of us imagining a laughable scenario. what if someone knocks on me door and ask permission to retrieve the toupee? i wasn't expecting any deliveries so if anyone comes knocking i knew it would be for that.
i was looking for something to push it with so it would just fall to the ground floor, but there was a pigeon sitting on it when i went back out before lunch. a few minutes later there was a loud shuffling sound, and when i looked feathers were flying and three pigeons were attacking a young red tailed hawk, the hawk frantically flapping its wings to get away from the three fierce pigeons. in the beak of the hawk was the toupee! i just couldn't stop laughing and when i came to, i thought i should've taken a photo!
This looks an interesting vehicle - think its pedal power but it might be electrical. We would have to have helmets on to ride on the road but of course there could be green helmets to choose. Love your toupee story! Someones going about with a bald head!
A pretty cute bike - would you call it a quadcycle?
We have a four person bike at home that is so hard to pedal, it gives you a massive workout. I had thought it would be great for the grandkids!
I didn't realize this was a bicycle at first. He looks like he was having fun. Not sure about her.
I hate you didn't get a photo of the hawk and toupee.
What a fun picture. He looks like he's enjoying himself but her not so much.
Your story of the toupee is hilarious. To have a picture of the hawk with it would have been amazing.
Fun picture! One has to paddle and I think the lady is doing all the hard work!
And your story... a pity you didn't have photos of it with the birds.. but I enjoyed reading it!
@grammyn - i only took a photo when i first saw it and it has since been deleted from my phone. i belatedly realized i could've made it photo of the day. and i was so mesmerized by the pigeons taking on the hawk that i was unable to take a photo -- i was busy laughing my head off!

Your narrative is fun as well.
So, both brought a smile to my lips early this morning!
Fascinating story of your morning excitement! Will we be seeing some of the pictures you took?
