something was making a big racket outside and it was very distracting so i went out on to the balcony to investigate. turned out someone was operating a weed-wacker. it took me a while to find the guy but i saw this pair on the lawn next the building across from mine. then i saw that the weed-wacker guy was right in front of this pair, a mere few yards from them. how they can hold a conversation with that racket going on right in front of them (when i am 22 floors above across the street and getting bothered by all that noise) is beyond me. but then at least they are personally communicating and not texting each other.
the pair reminded me of this song by the supremes that was popular in the 70's. thankfully, inter-racial relationships are now more common than forty or so years ago.
When you’re in love, you are totally unaware of all your surroundings, even a Weedwhacker. Fabulous composition for this one, terrific song. And a great story.
