"...the preservation and enhancement of the multicultural heritage of Canadians..."

this statue stands in front of the Union Station in the heart of the financial district (the building in the background on the left is the Royal Bank Plaza where our offices are). it is in commemoration of the United Nations' international covenants on civil and political rights and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
I love the silhouette and how the building appears to be solid silver. Stunning!

@cstewart - thank you. the building's windows are 'said to be' covered with 24 karat gold sheets, but the skies yesterday were a dull gray with the sun trying to seep through and i liked how the photo turned out.
@slang - the front shot was kind of...not even a fig leaf! :-) thanks.
@danig - thank you.

Striking! I love how everything seems to reaching upward, straining to touch the skies... Very nice!

Everything reaches to the sky on this picture, up up it goes! Indeed, like dancers do.

@ilseal - we only get to go two ways: up or down and better to be reaching up than falling all the way down, is het niet?

Love this shot! You have so many great photos. I am marking this one because I have listed this sculpture as a 'must take a photo of...'. And I love how you've captured it. The framing and silhouette works well together. It's striking. A fav for me. And I just made crib notes on what else to try. Thanks!
