yesterday (sunday) was a rather dreary day as we were expecting some snow or wet snow or freezing rain. those didn't come until the evening but the whole day there was just this heavy cloud all over the city.
somewhere east of us, though, some people were basking in some pinkish/coral-ish sunshine. this was taken about eleven thirty in the morning during our drive by.
brain teaser: "cold comfort"
it's a freezing night, and you finally reach a mountain cabin that has been rented to you for the weekend. the electricity is out - there are no lights and no heat. there is a fireplace with a stack of wood in it, a wood-burning stove, an oil lamp, and a candle. you search your pockets and find that you have a single wooden match. you look at the resources you have availalbe. what will you light first?
Either the lamp or the candle I suppose. You can always light the others from one of them. But it's difficult to light smaller things such as a candle from a fire in the fireplace (although a fire place and a wood stove burning at the same time in a small cabin would make it feel like the Bahamas! Nice shot. I probably answered the brain teaser incorrectly. I never do well with logic questions either.
@abhijit - yeah, i seem to recall we were already paired off before. what assignment did you give me and what did i give you? mind's slowly going, you know. mine, not yours. tee-hee.
@abhijit - scrap what i previously commented. how could i have forgotten. it was through that push that led to the sale of three photos. my mind's really gone somewhere. i still can't remember what push i gave you that time. but it'll come... sometime in this century.
Wonderful sky you captured here!
yeah... so nice to see some actual glimpses of sunshine yesterday! very nice drive by :)
So we are partners again :-)
This time I would like you to show me what 'Winter' means to you?
