This is a small nature reserve 45 minutes from here. I was hoping to photograph birds as it's a popular refuelling stop in spring for migrating wading birds but I think we were a bit early. It's quite high up (900 ft) and very exposed. It was cold there this morning but we had a lovely walk around the lake and it blew the cobwebs away. We will revisit!
Have just checked it out - looks fascinating. Take me there immediately. Poor Chris, not a fishing rod in sight (though river fishing close-by .. apparently!). Lovely picture, Sue.
@pamelaclarke Thank you Pamela. Yes I will take you there. Get your boots on. It's very shallow so there won't be much other than sticklebacks. The river Wye is within spitting distance, however.
