35th Annual Man vs Horse Marathon 1

Every year our little town of Llanwrtyd Wells (the smallest town in Britain) hosts the Man vs Horse Marathon. This is a 24 mile course in the hills where runners race against horses. The route goes past the end of our drive which is where I was standing when I took this picture. This is 1,25 miles from the start. There are usually about 600 runners, some of them in relay teams of 3, and 60 horses. I'll post a picture of the horses on another day.
Good action shot, interesting idea for an annual event

@dizzyd Thank you Helen. It's a fantastic event and the route takes you through stunning countryside and up and down some serious hills. I was on the organising committee for a few years and I've done the race a couple of times as part of a relay team. I always WALKED up the hills!!

@clairelouisehorniblow @foxes37 Thank you both. I can't believe I've done it twice (as part of a relay team).
