We passed this little chapel while on our walk last week. It wasn't in a village, it was just in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't look much like a chapel to me but it is said to be the oldest unaltered nonconformist chapel in Wales and dates from 1697. The chapel is still used as a place of worship. I would have loved to have had a look inside but unfortunately it was locked. In normal times it would probably have been open, churches and chapels in these parts usually are.
The adjoining building is a holiday cottage but there wasn't much sign of life there either.
I got the information from the little book of walks that I was using.
I’m always amazed at the different styles of churches in the world. From the very ornate to the simple couple of room places. I’m sure everyone is as good as the other!
