XJS

Some of you will know that I am a huge fan of Jaguar cars. I actually drive a 14 year old S Type (V8 4.2 Litre model with full body kit) which is my pride and joy.

The main reason I love Jaguars so much is that they have produced so many iconic designs over their long and illustrious history. Never following the fashions of the day and always coming up with very distinctive designs that are unmistakably Jaguars.

Sadly they have got themselves a new designer in recent years who seems keen on throwing away that great heritage and tradition and Jaguar are making cars that are very nice but very similar to many other cars on the road at the moment. I don't know about you, but I personally would be a bit upset if I had just paid out £75,000 for a new Jaguar and people started mistaking it for a VW.

No chance of that happening with this Vintage XJS I spotted in Falmouth. Or with my S type which I hope to keep running for many years to come.

I agree with every word, and best of luck to you keep the old girl on the road, the car I mean, not Kitty

We used to have a 1971 XJ6. It was an awesome car, loved it dearly...then it died horribly and we were forced to sell it. We were in our early 20's at the time and just didn't have the ready cash to fix it...the gentleman who bought it dropped a diesel in to it...I walked away in disgust.

@graemestevens I had a black XJ6 sport which also died horribly. Complete engine meltdown. It was just such a beautiful car. Fortunately Jaguar engines are a little more reliable these days. :)
