Most of us in our teens are rebellious, flamboyant, colourful characters. Sadly as many people grow older they are forced to conform to the expected norms, for their jobs, partners, neighbours, and they slip into the uniform greyness of normality....... but some manage to maintain their rebellious spirit and their colourful eccentricity throughout their lives.
You eventually realise that when people talk about "The local colour"............. they are referring to you.
These are my people. my tribe my birds of a feather. Growing old disgracefully and never giving in to what others expect of them. :)
