Mevagissey is actually not only a working fishing village, it is also a thriving fishing village. In the recent past the fishing industry in Cornwall has gone into a bit of a decline, but Mevagissey seems to be bucking the trend as it's fishing fleet seems to be growing rather than shrinking. Mostly due to the commitment and hard work of our local fishermen. It is always good to see the harbour crammed full of fishing boats. Long may it continue.

Us Pirates of St. Piran had a great time in Falmouth yesterday. A large and enthusiastic audience were in attendance for our first gig of the year and the crew were in fine voice. A great start to our gigging season and lots of money raised for charity.
