The Sharksfin Mevagissey

The Sharksfin is an old converted warehouse dating back to the 18th centaury. These days it is a very nice harbourside pub and restaurant.

Another 35mm film shot from my vintage Russian FED 5 rangefinder camera. I am falling in love with this camera. It just feels good in my hand and I'm loving the results. I have just ordered a vintage Jupiter 11 135mm lens for it from ebay. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Fantastic shot. Being from a country with only 200 years of European history, it is hard to fathom the age and history of buildings like this. Thank you for sharing.

@karlow75 Most of Mevagissey dates back to the 1700's We kind of take it for granted round here. :)

@sgtpepper It's been under several sets of new management and a major refit (Nicely and sympathetically done) since youn left Alf. :)

@sgtpepper It is also no longer a hotel as they have sold off all the upper levels as apartments. So just a nice pub restaurant these days.

@swillinbillyflynn Sounds good. I would never have called it a hotel, doss house yes, and occasionally ladies of negotiable affection were to be found in the bar.

@sgtpepper I think those ladies frequent other bars these days. :)

Beautiful. I wish I had the patience for film. It's been many years since I've shot film, my darkroom has been boxed up for decades. I just don't have the patience. sigh...

But I'm sure enjoying seeing your efforts!
