Self Build

A friend of mine gave me this on my birthday. Lots of fiddly bits to assemble but the result is really rather good. Apart from a few springs, everything is plastic including the lenses. It has a fixed aperture and a fixed shutter speed, so it's a bit like a Holga Lomo camera, but I will run a roll of 35mm film through and see what comes out.

Excuse me asking - is it a working model?

@cottiac Yes indeed. It is a little limited in terms of features, but it is a real working camera.

@swillinbillyflynn Fantastic a very thoughtful gift.

This looks fun - interesting that it is made for 35mm film and not the more usual TLR diet of 120. Look forward to seeing the results.

@vignouse I think it's probably for ease of use. Although 120 film is readily available, getting it develop is a bit tricky, particularly here in Cornwall. I use B&W 120 film in my Mamiya 645 and my Yashica D TLR but have to send it away or develop and scan it myself. :)
