Another example of turning mundane into interesting by HOW you capture the photo. Great "leading lines" for perspective! I also find the rust on the heavy duty metal poles to be an example of "gritty urban" in the midst of nature -- the grass and trees.

Thanks for your positive comments. Alicia, you're right about the value of pushing ourselves to find interest in the everyday. I'm usually so envious of the photographers on the site who have access to incredible scenery and wildlife. The grittiness Daniel mentioned is what I'm coming to see as part of my everyday world and I'm trying to be more conscious of seeing the beauty there. Anyway, thanks!
