Hi, I'm Nutmeg. Taffy said I could do the entry today because it was a HUGE day for me. I'm back on Beaver Island, where I've spent every summer for the past 13 years. Here's me in the car, surrounded by boxes and bags and suitcases. That part of the day wasn't so great, or getting up while it was still dark out and having to go for a walk which I didn't want to do and then sit in the car for a really really really long time. But the REST of the day was great -- a car that goes in the sky, sniffing in the woods, and no stairs to deal with when I want to go in and out. So today is all about me. That's why I get to do the entry. Taffy will be back tomorrow with the start of photos of Beaver Island. She said she is really sorry she isn't commenting on everyone's photos (I don't know what that means, but it seems to be a big deal to her) but that she will catch up soon (by the way, I don't like to play catch). PS from Taffy -- just a 'record of what is happening' photo. Looking forward to catching up and starting to share scenes and people once we get unpacked and settled in -- a few more crazy days, then hopefully serenity for a whole summer, first time not working in almost 50 years - wow....

Oh Nutmeg!! You are quite delightful! Enjoy your summer....if you ever come to Oregon our Charlie would love to meet you. He love to play and share his toys. Take good care of Taffy for us. By the way..you are very photogenic!!
Enjoy your holiday Nutmeg. I suggest you find some interesting shots for Mum to do from your perspective...it won't hurt her to get down on her belly and find a whole new world to photograph :) PS: If she groans about getting low to the ground...remind her that you have to deal with stairs all the time so this just won't hurt her much!
Nutmeg , tell Taffy this is probably the most interesting entry on 365 today... really happy you are going to have a wonderful summer.... though do fully understand how it must feel to be cramped for hours in a car...

Hi, Nutmeg. So, Taffy is your boss... That must be tough for you... Because she's either working, photographing, looking atphoto's or commenting on them... Terribly boring... Tell her, you make a good model but the car's too untidy as background;) Wish her all the best and inspiration on Beaver Island. I hope she doesn't want to play catch with you. Take care! :)
Nutmeg is a brilliant story teller and this shot speaks volumes and is reminiscent of so many journeys in rather full cars. Have a wonderful restful time.
Nutmeg you are adorable! I'm glad you survived your big trip. I love those cars that fly in the sky. And I like walking in the woods too- I like sniffing the air and smelling the pines. I hope you and Taffy have a wonderful time on Beaver Island! I'm looking forward to seeing Taffy's shots of this beautiful place.

Oh Nutmeg! You are so pretty! Are you a Bernese Mountain Dog? I used to have a friend who had 3!! There was no room in his bed for me! haha Have a great summer! Sounds like a wonderful place to visit! I'll have to google it!
@havrotb Thank you Barbara! I used to get up in the bed, but it's too high now for me. But I have a really nice bed of my own that Jim and Taffy move around so I can be with them. @thirtysevenways From Nutmeg: Thanks TSW! It's been much fun. I like it here a lot so even though I can't get up by myself, it's fun lying on the deck and biting at flies. And I like going for little walks too -- lots of good smells.
