Time: 1:15 a.m. Must post before bedtime. A very fun, but long day of socializing with my sib and his wife, and then having additional friends over for dinner with lots of good wine, good food, and dessert plus chocolates.
Main day's event was a return to Miller's Marsh (new to them, return for me) for a combination hike around the marsh and walk in the Big Field (yes, it's in caps and on the map) where my friend and I had gone snake hunting a few weeks ago. Posting favorite photo from the marsh area in main album and successful snake find in my extras album ( http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-08-07).
I will be behind in commenting for the next few days, but trying to keep up on posting. Thank you so much for your visits and comments on my recent bug and the Nairobi Chamber Chorus shot. I really appreciate the time you take to comment and enjoy reading them so much!
An instant fav! Such a beautiful composition and I love the processing, that Lily looks like it is glowing! Wonderful on large too and I would go as far as to say I would probably hang this up!
Beautiful, tranquil and calming! Wow, stunning shot, tones are just great, so clear and yet very painting like. I´m loving this and this will be my first fav for the day!
Gorgeous shot! Really needs to be seen enlarged. I agree with all who faved this and also think you should hang this one. Love the way the light seems to shine out of the lily!
@anazad511 Thank you Ana, for stopping and commenting -- I know posting is hard for you so suspect you don't have much time on the site. I appreciate your time on my album.
@janine3 Thanks Janine -- it's been so beautiful here the past few days and fun to hike. Today was kayaking at Font Lake -- so fun and I'd never been on that lake.
@calm@colie@kdimagery@busylady Thank you Cathy, Colie, KD, and Judith! I appreciate your comments so much. Judith -- you are so right about heavenly days, especially when visiting friends and family keep my focus on enjoying the summer here. It's going to be over all to soon...2 weeks and 2 days left. :-(
@thirtysevenways Thanks so much TSW! I so appreciate the fav! I know what you mean re the zoom. I can never be confident in it the way I can in my prime lens like the 105. Sometimes I get lucky (like this time), but just as often, it's a bit blurred (as it was when kayaking -- three chances to take several shots of a great blue heron and not one was clear enough to post or even try to edit to post!).
@wendyhgill@joanf@jankoos thank you Wendy, Joan, and Jan for your visit and such supportive comments. And of course a special thanks to Wendy and Jan for the fav!!
@paintdipper@darylo@cathrinemitch
Gosh, thanks for the favs and the visit today! If it weren't overkill, I would be posting a lily a day. They are such interesting plants and so beautiful to be able to see on the inland lakes.
@anazad511@elaine55@jankoos Thanks Ana, Elaine, and Jan. It's been such a great day to find out that the two shots appeared on TT. Walking on clouds is a good way to describe the feeling!

Thrilled for you!
Thank you so much for such support! It means so much to me!
Thank you so much for your kind words -- I really appreciate your support.
