Sometimes snow looks soft and light and lovely. But it's still snow and cold. Spotted on a neighbors upper deck, thus no footprints. I liked the light tones and modern blocks that create the image.
Virgin snow is so lovely....but I just don't like it where I live. Makes for such wonderful photos though. This is stark and stunning!!! And very cold!
Completely agree with comment above, a beautiful minamilist shot. I notice you still use a d90 sometimes, I kept mine as well, brilliant camera isn't it. Sometimes I think the images are cleaner then those from my d7100. Fav
@cazla Yes, I like the D90 still, quite a bit. Since the 600 is a full frame, the D90 gives me an advantage when losing a zoom -- my 300 acts more like a 420. And my 600 continues to have the problem with oil on the sensor so I have to send it in for repair. My D90 has been far more reliable, though I do like the 600 a lot -- just wish it didn't have so many problems! thanks for your comments too!
Love the shadow and light! We'll be above the freezing mark this weekend so we're going to have some serious thawing. Thank goodness since we had snow almost up to our nose. ;)
I had to think about this for a while, to process what it was in my small brain! Now I know, I think it's an incredible weather/architecture/abstract shot. You have a great eye to have seen the potential and delivered it to 365.

Great composition and love how smooth the snow looks.
