First, My day started wonderfully with my Golden Hour at Lincoln Park Zoo shot squeaking into the TT at #20. Thank you all for your support that led to it being recognized this week! We're expecting dropping temps again, another few inches of snow has started to fall, and cabs were hard to find after a concert. We were trying to be strategic walking over to a hotel down this street away from the crowds. Conversation went something like this:
Jim: Come on!
Me: Just a few shots, the reflections are great.
Jim: Right. Your camera is going to get soaked.
Me: No, I can protect it under my coat's sleeves.
Jim walks on ahead...fortunately flagging a cab. I find out when I get home my camera was not on auto-focus (I'd changed it to manual in the concert hall) so I processed this to soften it even more. My hope is to convey the golden light and reflections, and the ghostly figures that populated the night.

I love the feel and the mood of this shot!!! The lights and reflections are wonderful. With dropping temps it looks like a freeze could turn all that wet into a sheet of ice. Be safe and warm, if possible!
Oh,this is a superb shot!!
Well,I haven't uploaded shots recently and it's because of my pc decided to die few days ago,and from my phone,I can't upload. Such an annoying thing. So I wanted to say sorry because I didn't repost to your get-pushed challenge- when I can,I'm sure I will upload that picture. Have a great weekend! ;))
I love that it is not in focus, it looks perfect to me and conveys an atmosphere that may have felt very different otherwise. Beautiful golden tones and reflections. Love it!
Love the technique you used here. I've been practicing this type of focus for a while but it hasn't been working out for me very well. I love the urban, relaxed atmosphere this shot of the city evokes.
The light in this is gorgeous and I love the soft focus and beautiful reflections. Lucky accident!! Congrats on TT Taffy - I must check it out!! I have missed so much this last week. You keep clocking up those TTs - well done you!!
