I had one more open spot in my main album to fill to be caught up. I went back to this shot which I had loved, from the dog sled races at the zoo. These two dogs were so cute to watch, nuzzling each other and sticking their noses into each other's mouths. I thought this was a sweet scene. Wishing each other luck? Sharing some last minute strategies?
@angiec Angie, thanks so much for the fav and your continued support! @roseolivia Rachel, this was one of those 'moments in time' that I felt lucky to catch. I'd been snapping the two of them for about a minute as they engaged so sweetly -- then the one reached his (her?) paw out to the other and they seemed to be talking to one another.
dog in back: "Make sure you go do your business BEFORE we start the race time, will ya?" hee hee Doggie Dialogue. cute photo of those amazing winter athletes!
@espyetta Funny you picked up on that! A dog actually called one of the races to a halt when he decided he needed a pit stop in the nearby snow. We apparently missed the one who decided the track was the most convenient place -- so folks were happy at least this dog did his thing off-track! Unfortunately, he did take the rest of the team with him!
@taffy I like how his paw is up on the other one too, Just saw that. I am a fan of iditarod dog race..which is coming up in March. My favorite mushers are no longer in it this year, but I usually "watch" by internet. You have to pay to join as an insider though. I used to do it with my gifted ed. small group classes...and make it educational..do math problems, learn Ss, map skills, have writing topics. But I am in regular ed now and they just push push push for the facts to be crammed in by the spring test. So I decided i do other "special projects" and let this one slide.
@espyetta Good to know...I'll check it out. And the problem re the testing is across the country. It's so sad to see so much of what makes school worthwhile replaced by test prep focus!
its a fav
Wonderful.
