Last day in California so on our way back to the San Jose airport, we drove the "17-mile" drive -- one of the most beautiful coastal areas in the country, and we stopped in Monterey to see their aquarium, ranked #1 in the world. The highlight is their two story exhibit of 'jellies' (I knew them as jellyfish). I never knew there were so many varieties, each more beautiful and ethereal than the last. I suspect this won't be my only post of them.
Still behind on commenting but I've enjoyed reading your comments on my images -- I've read them all and really appreciate your taking the time. I fly home tomorrow, catch up with work and then can return to catching up and normal commenting here. Many thanks for your continued support!
Love this place...and these are my favorites. They remind me of ballerinas!
Really fabulous capture! Look like they are floating in space. Safe journey!
@mara19500 I agree -- these are amazing creatures! I've never seen once in the ocean and wouldn't want to meet up with one, but loved watching them. I'm guessing I'll post at least one or two more over the next week or two.
I'm such a fan of the jellies! I have a membership at the GA Aquarium here and I sit there and take tons of shots to only end up with one or two, but so worth it! Nice job!
@taffy Last time I used my nifty-fifty, and I can't wait to go back. I'm going to the Atl. Botanical Gardens with a photographer friend. I'm so excited because it will be a beautiful day and I might get some downtown shots with my wide-angle too! Eeek!
What a fantastic shot. I did not know there are now two stories of jellies. I will have to try to get there again. It has been a long time. I am as you can tell catching up on your photos. Amazing detail. FAV
Thank you for the generous compliment on my macro Honey shot. Really appreciate your time in sharing the comment.
