Oh my gosh! What a way to start the weekend -- since my brother and family arrived, I'd not been on 365. This morning I found I had two photos in the TT and my two chain images - mundane and abstract -- were the winners in the challenges. I'm beside myself with excitement and soooo grateful for all your support. Feet are not touching the ground. Expectations are now high among family that the family portrait (which I've never done before) of my brother's family with the new grandchild is going to be great. Eek!!
This shot is from last night -- my brother, sister-in-law, and I went for a long walk (with brother graciously carrying tripod) with the idea of ending as the sun set to try to see the orb during this unique sunset week. It was worth the wait and the cold and being chased off the Art Institute bridge for having a tripod!
Thank you all again, so much, for your support. I'll only be on the site here and there during their visit this weekend but of course will catch up starting Monday. Thank you thank you thank you!
PS New mundane/abstract challenges will start soon -- I've gotten the whole family involved in deciding on the right object!
Congratulations Taffy, that is amazing and you must be so proud and pleased, and rightly so! This is a beautiful image, precision timing, and how nice to have all the family involved in your 365!
Congratulations on the TT x 2 and challenge winners ! What an amazing shot you have posted today, perfect framing for your canyon. Enjoy your family weekend , look forward to seeing the family portrait. If anyone can pull it off, you can!
A HuGe Congratulations!! I I think this may be a first - having the same person win in both mundane and abstract with same subject, so tie a string to your ankle and enjoy floating!
Family fun and photo pressure, oh boy! Enjoy the weekend and Im so glad to see this image after your disappointment from the other night of not getting the orb between the buildings.
Wow, what a spectacular shot, and congratulations, they were fantastic shots, well deserving. I'm very sure you will do a great job on the portraits.
And getting chased off the bridge with a tripod would have made a classic capture. Very funny.
Not only is this a beauty, you (and your brother!) are to be commended for going the distance to capture a shot like this! (Chased away by The Art Institute?! Tell them you were creating art!)
Congrats for all your successes this week. Can't wait for your accomplishments next week - don't panic, just kidding. Super shot this evening. You nailed it.
