Flamingos can finally come outside for a bit at the Lincoln Park Zoo. They are such funny looking birds, but so elegant at the same time. This one seemed to be trying to tell the one behind to follow it back inside to have their dinner.

Your is a wonderful zoo, and this, a delightful photo! I can't stop myself from taking pictures in zoos and arboretums...and you have both on the same property!
@dolphin You're so right about the expression. He (or she) looked almost haughty and above the others, but then, so many of them seem to have that kind of a look to them!
@khawbecker Heehee! What was interesting was to see them avoid walking on the ice that was still on the ground. They were only out a little bit and then all were sort of herded back into their inside enclosure.
