I'm doing a massive cleanup of some smart cards and drives and came across so many photos from my trips that I hadn't posted. I am missing urban images to work with so thought I'd take a break from my local surroundings for the light and shadows bw theme ( http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/23152/new-b-and-w-fortnight-6-light-and-shadows). This was taking in June while in Kyoto, walking behind our hotel on the way to get a late night snack. I can't remember exactly where it was and need @jyokota or @vankrey Junko or Michael to remind me! I liked the way the lights created the arched ceiling.

Beautiful lines and certainly a good one for "light and shadows": very stark contrast, in fact, between the light and the dark with very little tonality in between.
