Second of the two shots that came out useable from the surprise fireworks display after an outdoors concert on Beaver Island (in Michigan, USA). Taken just minutes after the "Fairies Visit the Lighthouse" shot and it had a totally different feeling and outcome for the shot. The rest of the shots were pretty much rubbish.

Great the way the lighthouse in the foreground is in silhouette . I love that you've caught the smoke as the fireworks(I'm assuming rockets) streak into the night. Fav
This too is a great fireworks shot Taffy, quite different from the earlier shot, of course. I really like the radial lines in this one, such an interesting effect - almost like claws or bristles. Fav for me.
Another fabulous image - completely different feel to yesterday's shot. This is more powerful with the great explosion of fireworks against the wonderful lighthouse. Almost like a war zone shot. Fav!!
Can't help but hear "And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air..." Great catch, with that burst fanning out from behind the lighthouse so perfectly.
