We had a lovely lazy day in Santiago that began at the Original Green Coffee Shop not too far from our hotel. The barista was an intriguing guy -- this three loves are coffee, bicycle building/repair, and photography. He was totally fine with Junko and me photographing throughout his coffee shop. In this image, I liked how his expression mirrors the one on the coffee roaster, which had taken on humanoid features.
For context of this shot, see Junko's image at http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2014-12-20
I LOVE the way in which you captured the coffee roaster's "face" and the barista's face in parallel ways, showing how progressively happy they became as they roasted coffee.
Oh, you are right! The machine seems to take on a human expression, smiling at the end. Very well seen! I like the sequential movement in this series of shots, too.
@kathiecb Your comment made me laugh as I'm a tea drinker. But both Jim and Junko said the coffee was quite good -- they had cappuccino(s). Bill and I had tea which was great. Thanks for the visit, Kathie!
Ha...great collage of him. Can almost smell the aroma!!! And yes, the smiling coffee roaster is very cool. Our local Costco store took out the coffee roaster that I so loved. Apparently there were environmental issues...but I miss it!! Love Bill Fenske's comment?
