@shepherdmanswife Chantal challenged me to post three landscapes as part of a landscape challenge this month. Though the photos don't have to be taken the day they are posted, I thought I'd require myself to at least work with processing an existing landscape on the day I post. For this first one, I started with a three bracketed photos from the lighthouse photo walk I did in January. I then combined and edited in LR5. Then exported to SnapArt and processed using the oil painting settings. Then imported again and cropped. This was the result.
Beautiful composition Taffy! I love your processing here which adds lots of interest to the snow and emphasizes that fabulous sky! It has a lonely abandoned feel with that broken fence.Fav!
Looks just like an oil painting... lovely effect. Thanks for explaining, too. I was wondering how to do this, now that PS has stopped including the oil painting setting in their newest CC version. I like the falling down fence, too. It give a nice sense of time's passing and the permanence of nature.
This is great! I'd hang it in my home as I love the beach and lighthouses (although I know it's not in this picture). You'd never know this was a photo at first. Beautiful and a fav.
Taffy. really enjoy your work
Beautiful landscape.
