We had such a fun 365 meetup with Louise (of Louise & Ken) and JT in Oak Park, IL which is home to Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio, and stellar examples of his architecture (and a gallery featuring 3 of JT's photos!). It took us all afternoon to travel up and back Forest St, not because it was a long walk but because we spent so much time talking and photographing. A very fun day and one I'll probably be posting from over the week. This is one of the classics...a beautiful home: the Arthur B. Heurtley House at 318 Forest Avenue designed by Wright in 1902.

Thanks all for your patience and lovely comments on my spider! I agree with those of you who find spiders less than appealing when they are too close. I have no clue why I think this one is acceptable! It's 'face' isn't even a face, I've learned. It's actually the bottom of the spider! Of course...we all knew that as there weren't the multiple beady eyes...It still is out there, but I've decided it's been photographed enough.

Such beautiful architecture....I have always loved FLW's works, and Chicago is so lucky to have so many of them. Looking forward to more posts from Oak Park! Isn't Louise just delightful... :-))
Wow what a stunning building! It looks like the perfect place for a 365 meet up if this is the kind of architecture! I would love to see the inside of the house! Fav!
My wife & I — possibly with another couple that's also been to Fallingwater — need to make a "FLW tour" of Oak Park & Chicago! Wonderful colors and lighting!
I love this gorgeous architecture!!
