Preparing to leave Portland tonight for our conference in southern California and looking forward to some warmth. It was a great family visit here -- the little petri dishes (otherwise known as my nephews little ones) have successfully given Jim and me colds to remember them by over the next several days. But otherwise, a very successful visit. Taken with the Street Photography 13 challenge in mind -- opened to the idea of 'no people' but I can't help but think that street photography needs at least some human element. Good luck with the search!
Great way to get us all guessing... but yes, the person with the yellow back pack is the element that makes this street. I'm with you, street photography is all about people... if there ain't no pepole, it ain't street - only my personal opinion of course.
with you on the presence of people in street photography. Once you find him(her), you are drawn right in to their action (well contemplation of the wall)
This is great Taffy and I love all the colors and the interesting looking artwork. It took me awhile but I did find the real person, but I did it. Hurray.
Brilliant shot,Taffy! You hid the real person in a perfect spot and at the right spot t!Thanks for showing us a great example when an 'almost no people' street shot may work so well! FAV!
@sangwann Haha! As you probably know, it's the figure (girl, I'm pretty sure) in the gray hat and carrying the bright yellow backpack. Thanks as always for the visit and also joining in the fun!
@jgpittenger It's nice here -- resort is quite lovely. Warm during the day but cold at night! Fun to see so many former students and friends from grad school and beyond. Love that it is NOT raining!
How did I miss this yesterday I went down my news feed twice!! Great wall art and wonderful how the girl blends into the shot!! How long are you in the warmth of California? You will get a shock to the system I expect when you get home!! Safe journey!!
Yes...hahahah!! Good one. Love the colors. So glad you enjoyed our city. ANd yes it is pretty nasty there this time of year. I also have gotten a cold and it was over 70 degrees in Arizona. ENjoy your time in California and the warmer weather.
This is an interesting mural!
