With February all about b&w, I have a backlog of photos to process from my wonderful two walks with @rosiekerr -- the cathedral and College churches and Forest Park (and a few Chicago walks). This gazebo sits across from the famous outdoor Muny Opera in St Louis' Forest Park -- 4 times the size of Central Park in NYC, and the site of their 1930s world fair. We got there as the sun was setting...great time of day to be in the park!
The clarity and depth in this shot are amazing Taffy. The shapes, colours and tones are spot on. It's a really great picture. I like it very much. Fav.
Oh, it makes me very happy to see this shot on the PP. :) The sunset works a treat against the charming (and familiar) island gazebo. Very nicely shot. So glad to have witnessed it first-hand.
@rosiekerr I can't get over how many photos I'd like to continue to work on and post from our relative short photo walks. It was very special -- looking forward to another one! Sarah and I keep thinking of more work we need to do, so I may be back!
@ukandie1 Definitely!! We were essentially at the entrance to the place where @rosiekerr posted her chandelier shot, and then if you walk straight out toward the edge of the pond, you can capture the sunset. We were there as the sun was going down, so maybe get there about 20 minutes before sunset and you'll be fine. Lots to photograph in a relatively small space. You could be gone an hour and capture a lot!
@rosiekerr just googled Morpho Mania, and trying to figure out how to persuade my better half to visit it when we pick our son up for spring break. We are there for a couple of days so hopefully i can persuade him!
