While ONS11 is all about reflections tonight, I got carried away with a hummingbird I'd photographed earlier today. Created using Topaz Textures using my own photos as layers. It was exciting to get the hummer shot, but the red feeder distracted totally from the bird, and one thing led to another. Actually better on black as it somehow changes the lighting.

Thank you for your lovely comments on Touching the Moon yesterday! Very much appreciated!
@sailingmusic@rosiekerr Thank you both so much for your favs! Jim had just been teasing me and I started to think this was over the top and almost deleted it. Then your comments came in -- thank you, thank you, Rosie and Myrna!
Oh you have outdone yourself Taffy! A fabulous hummer (so jealous you have these little beauties) plus wonderful processing! You seem to have mastered layers so well! Top shot! Fav!
Oh my goodness, I love this Taffy, I didn't realise it wasn't real until I read your words. I was thinking "how did she get this shot"... men... huh! what do they know ;)
Thanks so much for your nice words too :)
I love the idea and the feel of this and it is well executed for sure. My only suggestion is that the positioning of the hummer is such that it looks as if his feet should be on the branch and of course they aren't in the right position to be sitting. If you placed him just about anywhere else so. His feet weren't just above the branch, I think it would work better. I really like the dreamlike feeling
@jgpittenger Darn! I see exactly what you mean. But, having done it in Textures, I don't know that I can replicate it. UGH! I ended up quite liking this so may give it a try.
Thanks so much for your nice words too :)
I find it quite amazing how viewing shots on black can make them look totally different.
