We left the city for a long weekend steeped in the serenity of Beaver Island during the peak autumn color period. Except it's not. Note that while there is amazing color in that leaf, it's color in A leaf, not in LEAVES. Very sad as I won't be here with peak color hits, probably sometime in the next week to 10 days. So, here's my autumn shot -- leaf was not posed -- I happened on it while walking along Bonners Landing Road.
Quite pretty! It has more color than we are likely to get- but I'm hoping the cooler nights we're having now will actually bring out a little color. Good shot!
And I was saying to myself: "How did Taffy manage to find a leaf falling down, aim at it, focus ect., and get a shot like this". Great find and very beautiful.
Glad you found this one red leaf - even If you did have to hunt for it. What a shame to miss all the colour. This however, is most excellent on its own.
Your story made me laugh, it's the story of my creative life, ie 'you should've been here last week, next week, any other time … Lovely shot, in many ways far more expressive than a massed autumn colour shot.
