Traffic on the Chicago River by taffy

Traffic on the Chicago River

Taken from the Sky-Line Club's outdoor patio as part of the Chicago Open House (see yesterday's post if interested in the event). The Wrigley Building with its clock tower is in the background. The Sky-Line Club - if interested in the site where I was standing - is described here: https://skyline-club.com/history/
Great verticals- I can't get over all the windows! The boat traffic is fun to see as well.

Ann took the words right out of my mouth. I love all the verticals. And the buildings right on the edge of the water makes it look very Venice-like.

This is amazing and you have captured it perfectly.

All those amazing lines really stand out against black - boat traffic is the last thing I was expecting to see in a downtown Chicago shot. Absolutely fascinating.

Love the clock tower, the blue water and the gathering of boats!

Love your pov Taffy!! All those window make me think of the old film Rear Window. I wonder how many people are watching other peoples lives going on right in front of their eyes?

On of my favourite views made even better at that height! Wonderful photo, Taffy! I'm up to date on all your trials now, what with Pam's visit! Wish I could just meet you for a drink and share your frustrations! xo

@Weezilou I'd love a drink with you to commiserate! Not a great time in our lives, but this too shall pass, right?
October 22nd, 2016
@taffy yes, dear friend, This too shall pass. However, what was a miserable incident-by-chance at the outset with the fire has unfortunately snowballed and taken your lives with it for the ride! Would the loan of a home in Lunenburg do in the interim?
October 23rd, 2016
I wouldn't mind being stuck in that traffic!
October 23rd, 2016
@Weezilou Ah, if only Jim were also at least semi-retired! What a lovely thought!
